Cyrille graduated in 2001 at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague. He released his first solo-album "Nerve" in 2007 with Jeroen van VLiet, Stefan Lievestro and Erik Kooger, which was well received in the press (a.o. 5 stars in magazine Jazz). In 2010, Czech label "Animal Music" released his album "The Wrong Present", which is described below. For the last few years, Cyrille Oswald lives in Prague where he performs regularly with various projects. In the last few years, he also transformed into a multi-instrumentalist, playing different woodwinds like the bansuri, overtone flutes and the didgeridoo.
A Golden Age
A Golden Age
A brand-new CD with music from and inspired by classical composers such as Rimsky-Korsakov, Glinka, Mussorgsky and Messiaen. Featuring a unique instrumentation, mesmorizing melodies and also original works by Russian guitarist Kirill Yakovlev. Together with saxophonist Cyrille Oswald, Ukrainian bassplayer Taras Voloschuk and percussive artist Yonga Sun this truly is a boundary-dissolving experience. The CD was just released in the Czech Republic and will be presented in Holland the coming season.
